After 11 years of entering the side-by-side market with vehicles designed for work and entertainment, Can-Am launched five redesigned Commanders for 2021. DPS, XT, XT-P, MAX DPS and MAX XT Commanders are updated for work, hunting, tracking and performance applications respectively.

All five machines are powered by 100 horsepower. Rotax 1000R engine.

On these 2021 models, the engine has been moved to the rear and the wheelbase has increased by at least 14 inches. The wider posture provides the rider with more interior space, wider doors, and a quieter and more comfortable riding experience.

The towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and the large cargo box make this series of vehicles ready for use.

The company touts first-class maintenance intervals and self-service friendly maintenance access points for operators who like to maintain their own machines.

Can-Am offers more than 150 accessories, making any of these machines suitable for the specific needs of the farm.

Can-Am’s Julie Tourville said: “The 2021 Can-Am Commander is our most versatile side-by-side vehicle.” “It’s smooth and fun to drive, but it’s sturdy and powerful. The lineup built from the rider down is indeed the best. Good off-road life-aims to provide an excellent rider experience, regardless of usage."

Commander DPS is the most basic model in the 2021 series, mainly designed for work, off-road riding and hunting. It can accommodate a driver and a passenger.

It is designed to provide up to 13 inches of suspension travel. The DPS model comes standard with 27-inch XPS Trail Force tires and 14-inch steel wheels.

This machine is tundra green and has a suggested retail price of US$16,399.

Commander XT has more advanced features than DPS. It is also a two-seater configuration. DPS is specially equipped for hunting, but for those interested in off-road cycling or work applications, it may also be a good choice with its 4,500-pound winch, front bumper and full roof. It also has a 7.6-inch digital display with a keyboard and an upgraded LED light package.

XT is 64 inches wide and has an arched A-arm design that provides excellent handling and stability. Its ground clearance is 13 inches, and the front and rear suspension travel is 15 inches. The model comes standard with 28-inch XPS Trail King tires and 14-inch cast aluminum wheels.

In the operator station, the driver's seat can be adjusted up to 5 inches, and the steering wheel can be tilted 25 degrees.

The keyboard and display installed on the dashboard can be used to switch between the two driving modes. Eco mode is intended to be used when the operator wants a smooth throttle and weak response. Sport mode provides the highest performance and faster response. Next to the keyboard is a switch that controls four-wheel drive, with a lawn mode, which helps minimize damage to the grass and lawn when turning.

This UTV is available in three colors-Oxford blue, triple black or mossy oak break up country camouflage. The suggested retail price is US$18,999.
